"Another bit of essential advice: No matter how costly the trip was, no matter how much visual pleasure you derived from the experience, you don't have to paint a subject unless you really want to paint it. It is permissible to visit the Grand Canyon without painting it."
-- Barbara Nechis, AWS, from her book, Watercolor From the Heart.

6. Forty days to go until all entries have to be in for Watercolor Missouri National 2012 to be shown at the National Churchill Museum. Cheng-Khee Chee, AWS, NWS, MOWS-HR, is the Juror of Selection. Robert Lee Mejer, NWS, MOWS-HR, will serve as the Juror of Awards. To serve as a judge for Watercolor Missouri National, the artist must have national recognition by the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, or both.

7. Don't forget to send your accomplishments to Laura King for this next issue of Watercolor Studio. We need a couple of good articles, and some tips, too.
Do YOU remember this? ... You wrote an article after you got into your first national show. You were sure you had the answer to ART, so you wrote an article.  ... But then, you left it in some dark corner of your studio under a stack of books for the next 10 years. ...Well, dig it out, blow the dust off and let us takes a look at it. Send that paragon to: laura@laurakingstudio.com

Have a great week!
May God always keep you on His palette.
